About Us
Richard Christensen
Rich is President and General Manager of ADVENTURE SCUBA. He with his
Dad, Don and Marcus established ADVENTURE SCUBA in Reno on April 10,
2002. Rich is a life-long resident of the Reno-Sparks area and graduated
from Reed High School "about a million years ago." He is a certified
NAUI Course Director and is qualified to teach in Scuba Diver - Advanced
- Rescue - Dive Master - Instructor - Rebreather - Nitrox. He is both
NAUI and PADI certified. Rich enjoys everything scuba, especially travel
and technical diving. He is married to the former Mavy Duran and they
have a beautiful little daughter, Isabella Rose. In his spare time he
enjoys riding motorcycles and working on his Dad's old cars. Rich is
currently on sabbatical and has turned the day-to-day operation of the
store over to Marcus and Janet.
Don Christensen
Don Christensen is the Secretary/Treasurer of Adventure Scuba. He is the
only partner who is not a diver. He brings to Adventure Scuba a lifetime of
expertise in retail management, tax and finance. Although formally schooled
in communications/broadcasting, his career experience includes 10 years in management
for Sears, Roebuck in Salinas, California, Provo, Utah and Reno. He worked in
automotive finance and leasing for 12 years for Chrysler Credit and General
Motors Acceptance and is currently a Supervising Revenue Officer for the State
of Nevada. Don has lived in Sparks for over 25 years with his wife, Diana and
their 4 sons. Don enjoys outdoor activities and old cars. Don’s favorite
time of the year in Reno is “Hot August Nights”.

Marcus Ollom
Marcus started diving in 1997, and is a NAUI Instructor and a PADI divemaster. Most enjoys diving and underwater photography in the Channel Islands due to its very diverse aquatic environments. Active in the NNDC scuba club, and helps organize events like the Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest and the Scuba Olympics. Beyond Scuba diving, enjoys hiking, mountain biking, skiing, camping, cooking, and vintage cars. email: marcus@renoscuba.com
Janet Flenner
Janet is the Sales Manager for Adventure Scuba. Originally a New England Resident, she moved to Reno in 1992. She started diving in 2003 and has logged over 250 dives since. Along with her husband, James, she is an avid Dive-Xtras underwater scooter driver, which she enjoys taking on the many SCUBA trips that she organizes for the shop. As a former 4 time U.S. Parachute Team member, needless to say, she loves traveling the world experiencing new adventures. email: janet@renoscuba.com
